Terms and Conditions

Every contract (whether for piano tuition, accompanying or leading/directing) is legally subject to a 14 day cooling off period whereby the client may cancel the contract in writing without giving any reasons for doing so. Any money that may have changed hands will be refunded in full within 5-10 working days to the account from which it was paid.

Any contract signed by both myself and the client is a legally binding agreement between myself and the client. I am covered by the Musicians Union in the case of any disputes.

For Piano & Theory Tuition:

  • Once the cooling off period has passed, cancelling a contract will require no less than four full weeks notice.
  • Any work that has been paid for that follows the four full weeks cancellation notice will be refunded.
  • If a cancellation notice has been given, and the next term starts as part of the four week notice cancellation period, the client will be liable to pay for the weeks in the following term where the cancellation period is still in process.
  • To change a piano or theory lesson for personal reasons will require no less than 48hrs notice. I will then liaise with the client/parents to rearrange that lesson for another time.
  • Should the situation occur where I may have to miss a lesson, this will be refunded as part of the following terms invoice.

Whilst I strive to keep my costs low, price changes do occasionally happen (in line with the Musicians Union current rates advice) and notice of this will always be given no later than the end of the preceding term before it may come into force.

I have an enhanced DBS certificate which is registered with the government update service. The certificate, together with my certificate of Personal Liability Insurance and Safe Guarding Certificate from Wiltshire Council can be viewed at request.
